Laboratory Technician

Immediate opening for a Laboratory Technician located in Chanhassen, MN (Onsite).

Details for the position are as follows:

• Conducts all R&D laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc.
• Assists in maintaining project timelines.
• Provides support for various projects assigned by Engineers and/or Supervisor.
• Employs basic problem-solving skill sets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates.
• Collects and organizes data in a coherent format. Communicates basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcomes.
• Expected to train other Technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures.
• Ability to perform routine tests and operate application equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to identify abnormalities in collected data and/or project work.
• May take on equipment ownership and be responsible for maintaining safe operation of the assigned equipment.
• Intra-departmental submission of presentations and/or reports.

  Monday – Friday, 40hrs./week
• Pay Rate: $20 – 25/Hour

• Degree/Years of Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED, with 1+ Years of Industry Laboratory Experience
  • Bachelor Degree, Preferred (Discipline/Lab Courses in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, etc.)
• Comfortable handling and working with chemicals
• Able to wear PPE and comply with Lab Safety protocols
• Analytical Chemistry technique, A Plus!
• Contract to Start, conversion/extension on performance
