Inside Sales Engineer
Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking an Inside Sales Engineer. Candidates for this role must reside within 50 miles of our Chanhassen, MN location. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside this location.
Position OverviewThe primary function of an Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) is to support management, outside sales engineers, and internal/external customers with technical, service, and commercial solutions for the Eaton Electrical Sales Division. Responsibilities include closing orders, positioning Eaton Electrical products, providing technical knowledge, negotiating & pricing industrial and construction projects, and selling assigned product lines to targeted customers. The ISE also serves as a technical and commercial resource for field sales, customers, and distributors, managing quotations, project scheduling, and maintenance of power distribution, protection, and equipment.
InThis Function You Will
- Review and interpret customer needs from plans and specifications; determine bill of materials, competitive pricing, and shipment cycle.
- Proactively facilitate timely solutions to customer issues using available resources or creating procedures.
- Coordinate warranty and non‑warranty repairs, returns, and shipping issues.
- Project‑manage small to medium projects as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong commercial relationships with current and potential customers through effective salesmanship, application engineering, product knowledge, and understanding of customer business.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience or exposure to a manufacturing organization.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- Electrical experience with low‑to‑medium voltage systems.
- Commercial, sales, or marketing experience.
- Team‑oriented and fast‑paced work environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
The compensation range for this full‑time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive, with a total compensation range of $64,500 – $94,600.
