Job Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting systems at IDI’s multi‑site distribution organization. This is a working manager role, with hands‑on management of IT infrastructure and security, supporting the evaluation and enhancement of business systems and overseeing third‑party IT support, data, and communications vendors. The IT Infrastructure Manager directs the Help Desk and infrastructure staff, providing day‑to‑day oversight, setting goals and objectives, developing career plans, and offering job performance feedback.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Leadership
    • Develop, maintain and execute the IT infrastructure roadmap & strategy.
    • Lead infrastructure modernization efforts, including cloud migration, network upgrades, and mobility.
    • Lead projects, ensuring technology standards and security practices are followed.
    • Provide guidance and mentoring to all infrastructure and Help Desk staff.
    • Forecast and manage the IT infrastructure budget.
    • Conduct IT feedback sessions with senior leaders.
  • Vendor Management
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance partner relationships with technology vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms and conditions.
    • Hold vendors accountable for delivering projects on time and under budget.
  • Technical Engineering
    • Lead system architecture, design, network configuration, wireless deployments, server management, and troubleshooting.
    • Perform hands‑on work in virtualization (VMware), cloud services (Azure), identity management (Entra ), and networking (Fortinet/Watch Guard).
    • Develop and maintain all network and systems documentation including network diagrams, standards, and policies.
    • Consistently deploy IT assets such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
    • Deploy IT infrastructure to new and relocated branches.
  • Infrastructure Operations
    • Oversee the Help Desk, ensuring superior customer experience.
    • Manage cloud platforms, voice systems, network infrastructure, storage, and disaster recovery.
    • Continuously improve availability, security and performance of infrastructure.
    • Develop, track, and present team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Maintain PCI compliance.
    • Identify and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform other duties as beneficial to IDI.
    • Hybrid – In office at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications / Skills
  • Technical Proficiency
    • 5+ years of network administration, design and support, including DNS, Multi‑site Wide Area Networks, VPNs, Routing, Multi‑layered switching/VLANs, Firewalls, TCP/IP, Wireless access points, Network monitoring and performance management solutions.
    • 5+ years of experience with Active Directory, M365 Administration, and Entra .
    • 5+ years of experience with Windows Server and VMware administration.
    • 3+ years of experience with cloud hyper‑scalers, Microsoft Azure preferred.
    • Strong working knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) security systems.

    • Must be able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and senior‑level personnel.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co‑workers, and vendors.

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems preferred, or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
