Production Lead, Machine Room; Night Shift

Join the team as a Production Lead, Machine Room (Night Shift) at The Bernard Group, Inc.

$3.00 per hour shift differential on top of your base pay if you work the majority of your shift after 5:00 pm.

5:45 PM – 6:15 AM
Night Shift

• Lead and mentor employees in machine room processes (bindery, fabricating, cutting, kitting).
• Train new and existing team members on efficient machine set‑up and process flow.
• Own the last quality check before shipment to TBG/Smart Press customers.
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize and direct department workflow.
• Maintain 0 OSHA recordables while upholding high quality standards.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot programming issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement in material flow, cell design, and productivity.
• Support safe manufacturing environment and clean shift housekeeping.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 3+ years experience in CNC routing.
• OSHA 10‑Hour certification a plus.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated to teamwork.
• Problem‑solving ability and analytical mindset.
• Physical fitness: stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb.
• Color vision and visual acuity for quality checks.
• Adaptable and willing to wear multiple hats.

• Conform to shifting priorities and demands.
• Stand and operate equipment for extended periods.
• Possess color vision for printed material quality checks.
• Apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for cutting equipment and keyboard use.

$44,460–$51,854 annually (this base pay range does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials).
