Position will report to the Warehouse Manager. Supervise warehouse operations as required. Communicate transitional information from night shift to day shift. Manage any staff assigned to shift including employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Oversees all computer entry work and paperwork flow.

• Assign work for all 2nd shift staffing, considering customer specs, driver departure times to meet delivery schedules.
• Oversee loading of inbound/outbound freight per customer specs.
• Supervise local, regional, and OTR drivers, communicate updates and workflow changes.
• Review deliveries for poor packing and material conditions; alert Customer Service Rep, Warehouse Manager, COO of any problems.
• Assign processing of shipment paperwork including scanning BOLs.
• Ensure all shipments recorded and verified; accuracy against paperwork for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Monitor quality and accuracy of shipments per customer specs.
• Ensure department staff meets customer requirements; update staff training as needed.
• Update Tee Card board and TMW system.
• Communicate with customers; respond to inquiries; implement actions.
• Communicate via e-mail before shift end for smooth transition of workflow, issues, concerns.
• Ensure safety, training, development of employees, drivers, contractors per OSHA and RJW policies.
• Oversee completion of all computer data entry; check for accuracy and efficiency.
• Approve shift employee timesheets for payroll; correct temp hours; monitor overtime.
• Complete daily building checks; notify Warehouse Director of equipment or building problems; assist maintenance.
• Ensure employees adhere to AIB processes, procedures, guidelines; have had AIB training for handling food.
• Ensure checklists for building, equipment, safety completed per SOP/policy; issue corrective actions or work orders.
• Handle accident reporting, injured employee care; notify HR, management of emergency actions.
• Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Warehouse Manager or COO.

• Minimum 3+ years previous warehouse supervisory/managerial experience.
• Dispatch experience.
• Dock supervision experience.
• Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software is a plus.
• Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
