Position: School Counsellor Role at Grandy's River
Make a difference at Grandy's River Collegiate as a dedicated School Counsellor. This full-time role emphasizes student development, crisis management, and effective communication with school stakeholders.

You will be responsible for leading student support initiatives across both St. James Elementary and Grandy's River Collegiate, starting September 8, 2026.

Your role includes designing a comprehensive guidance program and evaluating student needs through assessments. Additionally, you'll collaborate with educators and community members to create a safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement comprehensive school guidance programs

• Lead crisis response planning and interventions

• Support teachers in fostering student success

• Conduct assessments to determine student requirements

• Build partnerships with families for student advocacy

Requirements:

• Master’s in Counseling Psychology and Bachelor of Education

• Level IV NL Teaching Certificate or higher

• Extensive knowledge of student development

• Strong counseling background and assessment skills

• Engaged in professional development for practice improvement
