Senior Watchkeeping Engineer Marine Atlantic

Marine Atlantic is searching for a dedicated Senior Watchkeeping Engineer to support our fleet operations. This position requires at least two years of relevant experience and certifications including STCW and a Marine Medical Certificate. You will be part of a diverse team committed to safety, integrity, and excellence in service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor ship systems and machinery

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols

• Conduct maintenance on propulsion systems and equipment

• Collaborate with crew to enhance operational efficiency

• Maintain records and documentation as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Valid STCW 6.1 and 6.2 Certificates

• Propulsion Plant Simulator Certificate II

• Marine Medical Certificate from Transport Canada

• Ability to lift and handle weights over 20 kg
