Diesel​/Trailer Mechanic

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/systematic 90‑day inspections of trailers to ensure compliance with Federal FHWA standards.
• Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed.
• Identify parts and supplies as required.
• Adhere to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste.
• Keep the work environment clean, organized, and maintained to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
• Use welding equipment as required.

• At least 1 year of experience with general knowledge of equipment theory, principles, and repair relating to diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• At least 1 year of experience with general knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, and company policies and procedures.

• High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent vocational school (preferred but not required).
• Dynamic, ambitious, and engaged team player.
