Instrument Fitter - Austin Industrial (Channelview, TX)

Must be able to install and remove various instrumentation, such as indicators, recorders, telemetry, controllers, transmitters, transducers and analyzers used to measure and control variables, such as pressure, flow and temperature. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Read and work from related blueprints and other schematic drawings.
- Install and/or remove various instrumentation devices.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics, electronics and electricity.
- Cut, bend and install pipe tubing or conduit for the installation of air or process lines for instrument controls using hacksaws and pipe cutters for the proper installation of the instrumentation device.
- Install instruments, instrument stands and control wiring to valves and stroke valves to verify operation.
- Install and calibrate recorders, alarms, switches and other devices.
- May steam trace lines when necessary.
- May install flanges and orifice plates.
- May perform other duties necessary to remove, install or troubleshoot instrumentation devices.
- Maintain a current electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required
- Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
- Certification/License – NCCER, a valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.
- Maintain a current electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
