Position:
Shipping & Receiving Supervisor – Houston, TX – Salary: $60,000–$70,000 (Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level)

• Prioritize pick‑ups and shipments based on information received from Net Suite ERP system, emails, Production, Sales, and Management, shifting priorities based on customer demand.
• Communicate daily shipping schedule to Sales and management.
• Act as first line supervisor for Shipping Department, lead a team of drivers, material handlers, and make‑ready personnel.
• Utilize Net Suite ERP system and Smartsheet application to schedule and coordinate equipment pick‑ups and deliveries.
• Assign available drivers, vehicles, and outside hot shot, freight, or courier services to ensure timely pick‑ups and on‑time deliveries, making informed decisions to minimize shipping costs while providing exceptional customer service.
• Fulfill orders in Net Suite ERP system, print packing slips, prepare paperwork for deliveries and shipments.
• Package equipment and items for proper and safe transportation, utilizing available drivers, general laborers, and make‑ready personnel as needed.
• Utilize UPS World Ship and other software to arrange for shipments and pick‑ups by courier services.
• Pick up or deliver equipment when required.
• Check in equipment for repair, relaying information to Production and Sales.
• Assist Buyer as needed to receive equipment and inventory, verifying packing slip accuracy, notifying Buyer and Plant Manager of any discrepancies.
• Notify Buyer of shipping supply needs, maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials.
• Coordinate with shipyards or customers to arrange for pick‑ups and deliveries.
• Any other tasks as deemed necessary by management.

• 3‑5 years of experience in Shipping, Logistics, or business‑related discipline
• Ability to effectively lead a small team
• Clear and effective communication
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, ERP Systems, courier software)
• Ability to interpret and fill out packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping related documents
• A track record of ethical behavior
• Attention to detail
• Abilities in problem solving, time management, decision making, and rapid change and implementation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility
• Ability to work in a shop environment
• Ability to operate a powered lift truck, forklift certification a plus
• Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record
