Senior Construction Materials Field Technician

We offer opportunities for professional development with additional incentives as you advance your skills and gain experience. In this role you will collaborate with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of tasks in the Field Services department.
Responsibilities- Field
Activities:
Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites, executing tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers. - Testing Procedures:
Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance. - Data Collection:
Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections; develop documentation, prepare field reports, and draft any required administrative duties. - Communication:
Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; keep supervisors and project teams informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requests; attend project meetings with senior staff as requested. - Training and Development:
Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.

- Encourage participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by organizations such as ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, various State DOTs, WACEL, and others, as appropriate.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must maintain current basic level certifications and an additional two advanced certifications.
- OSHA 10 is a plus.
- Position requires carrying 40–70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Suitable transportation for use on job sites (mileage will be reimbursed).
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
- Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
- Strong math skills with ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
