Call Center Representative, Arlington, Northern Virginia (VEVA)

Join The Bowen Group (a GTSC Company) to support the Veterans Experience Office at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Location

100% virtual. Your residence must be within 60‑minute driving distance to a VA facility in Arlington VA, Columbia SC, Murfreesboro TN, Nashville TN, Salt Lake City UT, or Shepherdstown WV.

Mission

Help Veterans in stressful situations find assistance. You will connect them to the right resources and engage until that connection is made.

Compensation
  • $17.75 per hour, full‑time, 40 hours per week
  • 11 paid holidays + benefits:
    Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, and more
  • No part‑time or seasonal positions
You Need to Know
  • Extensive training will be provided; you must complete training.
  • Minimum six (6) months of consecutive call‑center experience.
  • 24/7 shiftwork; no seasonal work.
  • Opportunities to grow into supervisory positions.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Six (6) months of consecutive call‑center experience.
  • High‑speed wired internet: ≥25 Mbps download, ≥10 Mbps upload, no delay.
  • Ergonomic work‑at‑home environment that is quiet and distraction‑free.
  • U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residency and proof of eligibility to work.
  • REAL ‑compliant identification card or acceptable alternative (US Passport, DoD ).
Core Functions and Responsibilities
  • Learn, understand, and explain VA services and procedures.
  • Ask clarifying questions to identify complex or vague requests.
  • Accurately record details of calls and other service requests.
  • Select appropriate VA services to meet Veterans’ needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with VA employees, outside agencies, and the public.
  • Use a multi‑screen computer system with CRM applications.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of callers.
