Alpha School invites you to architect an AI‑enhanced, scalable literacy program that delivers more measurable progress in 2 hours than conventional schools achieve in an entire day. You will design adaptive workshops, interpret live student performance data, and partner with engineers to create literacy systems that multiply your influence across hundreds of learners.

This position merges direct student instruction with forward‑looking program design, allowing you to transform individual readers while constructing a scalable framework for foundational literacy across multiple campuses.

• Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
• Creating individualized motivational experiences that engage students and foster enduring enthusiasm for reading.
• Reviewing student performance metrics to iteratively refine instructional methods and generate practical insights.
• Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI‑powered literacy platforms.

• Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience conducting small‑group reading interventions with early elementary students.
• Capable of evaluating reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre‑packaged curricula.
• Comfortable working with AI/adaptive learning platforms and adjusting instruction based on student interaction patterns.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Able to work on‑site at one of our locations:
  Chantilly (Washington), VA;
  Lake Forest (Orange County), CA;
  San Francisco, CA;
  Miami, FL; or New York City, NY.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
