This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates regardless of exact location.

Job Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with a focus on advanced manufacturing and data center site development. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks and work closely with a highly multidisciplinary team to conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development, prepare grading plans, and perform earthwork and drainage/stormwater calculations.

Key Contributions
  • Site development, site master planning and site selection
  • Underground utility routing and site space planning
  • Hydrology analysis for storm drain systems
  • Design of gravitational wastewater systems
  • Final grading plans including cut‑and‑fill analysis and earthwork balancing
  • Erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans
  • Compliance with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements
  • Stormwater analysis and modeling in software such as Storm

    CAD, Civil Storm, and Civil 3D
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8 or more years of engineering experience with extensive project experience in medium‑to‑large industrial developments
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of medium to large scale industrial site development
  • Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base
  • PE certification (ideal)
  • Bluebeam experience (ideal)
  • Experience using Navisworks (ideal)
