About
The Role The Senior Systems Engineer leads and mentors engineering teams in applying a multidisciplinary approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, service development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and Mentor:
Provide guidance to Mid-level and Junior-level Systems Engineers across all engineering disciplines, including requirements and solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, service development, integration, testing, evaluation, and maintainability for NSG, ASG, and Federal Agency efforts.
* Requirements & Architecture Planning:
Guide planning and analysis activities, including requirements traceability, architectural alignment, workflow assessments, and identification of opportunities to automate or improve existing systems. Review cloud service capabilities and evaluate workflow and scheduling constraints.
* Solution Development:
Oversee the development of solution designs informed by requirements analysis and emerging technologies.
* Mission Translation:
Assist the Government in capturing, analyzing, and translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and actionable solutions.
* Requirements Allocation:
Support requirements analysis and allocation to system architecture components and program execution.
* Systems Integration:
Perform and oversee integration activities across complex systems.
* Technical Studies:
Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
* Strategic Technical Support:
Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
* Enterprise-Level Integration:
Operate at a level that integrates multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational and agency boundaries.

Required Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical/scientific field (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline).
* In lieu of a degree: 4 additional years of relevant experience with no degree, or 2 additional years with a non-STEM degree.
Experience
* 12+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant areas, such as:
* DoD/IC Acquisition Process
* Requirements Process
* PPBES Process
* Systems engineering of large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments operating in cloud, on-premise, or…
