Network Engineer

Insight Xcite is on the hunt for a sharp, experienced Network Engineer to support a key mission-focused client in Northern Virginia. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill networking gig — you’ll be hands-on with complex, high-impact systems that keep critical operations running smoothly. • Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor performance, resolve latency and connectivity issues, and optimize uptime.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to ensure end-to-end stability.
• Maintain compliance with security protocols and government standards.
• Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco hardware and network tools preferred.
• Ability to work independently in secure, high-stakes environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) — non-negotiable.
