SAIC is seeking a Space Protection Program Analyst to join the Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group providing systems engineering and technical advisory services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The customer is developing the next generation of space and ground systems, architectures, and hardware and software solutions.
The Space Protection Program Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and System Program Office (SPO) representative that coordinates with the development contractor and stakeholders (including end user operators) to enable deployment of new protection capabilities into space operations. The Space Protection Program Analyst engages program SMEs, system engineers, and acquisition specialists to assist in identification and execution of strategies that maximize collaboration, streamline decision‑making, and optimize processes, while promulgating knowledge management best practices to improve efficiency and increase team performance.
Responsibilities- Executes Knowledge Management strategies to ensure SPO’s information is captured, stored, structured, and available to the right stakeholders at the right time to propel efficiency and maximize performance.
- Partners with technical SMEs to develop sustainable and scalable ways to capture organizational history and experience and promote knowledge transfer to current and future team members.
- Manages collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint), oversees page/file structures, configures project spaces and sets permissions to meet team’s Program Management (PM) needs.
- Works directly with SPO’s senior leaders to allocate and disposition formal NRO information/action requests via NRO’s enterprise task management and response tool.
- Liaisons with internal and external stakeholders to identify or refine processes that foster collaboration, increase productivity, and maximize the team’s overall effectiveness to include acting as the SPO’s POC for revitalizing the directorate’s Records Management structure.
- Provides meeting support for various SPO governance/decision forums to include real‑time slide/confluence page management and recording meeting minutes and action items.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and five years of experience or master’s and three years of experience. Seven years or more of applicable experience may also be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
- Basic administration (e.g., managing permissions, adding fields, configuring workflows, and using built‑in macros) and troubleshooting proficiency with Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint or similar tools.
- Experience with operations management, project management, or program management office coordination.
- Familiarity with process improvement strategies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Business Process Reengineering (BPR) or similar strategic frameworks.
- Experience supporting Space Protection or Space Domain projects, programs, or acquisitions.
- Experience with program management of government acquisitions (NRO preferred).
- Experience supporting multiple stakeholders with different priorities.
- Experience with in the IC (NRO preferred).
- Expert administration and/or operations proficiency with Confluence and Jira, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
