Retail Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary

Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the team. This is a full‑time position, Monday–Friday, days/evenings rotating shifts, every other weekend. The position is located at 3901 Stonecroft Blvd, Chantilly, VA 20151.

• Completes insurance benefit investigation to verify eligibility and active coverage.
• Contact patients to coordinate refills, collect copay if applicable, and schedule delivery or pick up.
• Follow up with prescribers to send new Rx if needed.
• Notify clinical pharmacist if patient reports taking any new medications or has questions regarding medication prescribed.
• Maintain communication with the pharmacy team and providers regarding patient needs.

• Education:
  
  High School or GED.
• Certification:
  Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy Intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

• Experience:
  
  Two (2) years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
