Retail Pharmacy Technician

Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday – Friday, days/evenings rotating shifts. Every other weekend.

• Contact patients to coordinate refills, collect copay if applicable and schedule delivery or pick up.
• Follow up with prescribers to send new Rx if needed.
• Notify clinical pharmacist if patient reports taking any new medications or have questions regarding medication prescribed.
• Maintain communication with the pharmacy team and providers regarding patient needs.
• Education: High School or GED.
• Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience: Two (2) years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
