Pharmacy Liaison

Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy team is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Liaison 1 to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday.

Pharmacy Liaison 1

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilizes clinical documentation to obtain prior authorization approvals and appeals.
• Assists patients with timely pharmacy access to medications and documents all related communications with patients, physicians, finance, nursing, case management in appropriate platform.
• Works with payers to obtain coverage for patients and appropriate emergency one-time overrides when needed and resolves prescription insurance billing problems.
• Cleans equipment, maintains all required temperature logs, and maintains accurate inventory values and drug procurement as per policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate and up to date patient profiles and allergy and up to date medication reconciliation lists.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience
  :
  Three (3) years' experience working as a Pharmacy Technician and One (1) year experience with Pharmacy Billing.
• Certification
  :
  Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
