Inova Fairfax Hospital – Heart and Vascular Retail Pharmacy team is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Liaison 1 to join the team. This role will be full‑time day shift from Monday – Friday.

• Utilize clinical documentation to obtain prior authorization approvals and appeals.
• Assist patients with timely pharmacy access to medications and document all related communications with patients, physicians, finance, nursing, and case management in the appropriate platform.
• Work with payers to obtain coverage for patients and appropriate emergency one‑time overrides when needed, resolving prescription insurance billing problems.
• Clean equipment, maintain all required temperature logs, and keep accurate inventory values and drug procurement as per policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient profiles, allergy information, and medication reconciliation lists.

• Education:
  
  High School or GED.
• Experience:
  
  Three (3) years as a Pharmacy Technician and One (1) year of Pharmacy Billing experience.
• Certification:
  Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia;
  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
