About the role:Pro Flex Physical Therapy, powered by Areté Health, is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
You’ll work primarily with patients recovering from hand and upper-extremity injuries, including acute and post-surgical conditions, helping them regain function, independence, and confidence in their daily activities. Working alongside a collaborative rehabilitation team and communicating directly with hand surgeons, you’ll provide individualized, evidence-based care that makes a meaningful difference in each patient’s recovery.

Outpatient rehabilitation clinic with a caseload focused on acute and post-surgical hand and upper-extremity conditions. You’ll collaborate with the Clinic Director, fellow rehabilitation professionals, and referring hand surgeons to coordinate patient care. - What makes this opportunity different

This role offers the opportunity to focus your clinical practice on hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation while developing collaborative relationships with hand surgeons and helping patients navigate recovery from injury through restored function.
- Evaluate patients with hand and upper-extremity injuries, identifying functional limitations, rehabilitation needs, and individual treatment goals.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for acute injuries, post-surgical conditions, and other upper-extremity rehabilitation needs.
- Provide direct patient care through therapeutic activities, manual therapy, appropriate modalities, ADL retraining, and functional rehabilitation techniques.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, safety, and strategies to support recovery outside the clinic.
- Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, physical therapists, and other clinical team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
- Participate in team collaboration, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and evidence-based treatment skills.
