RecordsManagement Specialist
At K , you bring a blend of technical expertise and a service-oriented mindset to support teams in their pursuit of excellence. The Records Management Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective records and information management program in compliance with federal laws, regulations, and agency policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain records management policies, procedures, and schedules in accordance with the Federal Records Act and NARA guidelines.
- Conduct records inventories and appraisals; identify records requiring retention or disposition.
- Coordinate with program office to implement retention schedules and ensure compliance.
- Manage electronic records systems, including applying retention labels and monitoring disposition.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on records management practices and legal requirements.
- Monitor compliance through audits and reporting; recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate team communication and ensure clear, consistent communication within the team and with stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Must be a US or Australian Citizen.
- Must possess a US TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
- Associate’s degree in Information Science, Library Science, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in managing a technical library or similar resources.
- Strong organizational and IT skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and precision for high quality service delivery and safety compliance.
- Adaptability to changing conditions, technologies and requirements.
- Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
This role will be located in Alice Springs. The position is expected to be onsite 100% and is contingent upon contract award.
