Position: Lead Data Scientist with Security Clearance
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Data Scientist to join our team in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Creates new, innovative methodologies to detect threats by collaborating with data visualization experts, analysts, and leadership.

* Utilizes cutting-edge technologies for in-depth threat analysis and develops algorithms that proactively support analysts in detecting insider risk.

* Provides data expertise by building custom data pipelines for large datasets using commercial and/or open-source data science tools.

* Develops tools and methodologies to ensure that vast amounts of structured and unstructured data are properly categorized, processed, and presented to analysts efficiently.

* Stays current on all data science methodologies, developments, and industry best practices, and evaluates and recommends new techniques to further develop the Insider Threat Program.

* Utilizes Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), to develop natural language categorization and querying capabilities and provides modeling approaches to assess personnel risk and suitability.

* Ability to travel domestically.

Minimum Qualifications:

* 10+ years of relevant experience with statistical data modeling and software analytics.

* Subject Matter Expertise in statistical data modeling, data science, and programming algorithms with data visualization software packages.

* Experience writing technical reports, training manuals or similar documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in Data Analytics, Data Modeling, Data Science, Statistics/Mathematics;
Five (5) additional years of experience and a Bachelor's degree. Clearance Requirements:
* Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

* Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

* Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

* Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
