OverviewLucayan Technology LLC is hiring a Senior Data Scientist (Level
3) in Chantilly, VA. This position leads advanced data science initiatives, guiding teams to deliver innovative AI/ML solutions and actionable insights that directly support national security missions.
- Lead teams applying data science techniques to cybersecurity challenges.
- Oversee development of predictive models, ML algorithms, and advanced analytics
. - Deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leaders and warfighters.
- Spearhead data engineering and management efforts.
- Mentor junior staff and define requirements for advanced analytic approaches.
- Stay current on AI/ML and LLM advances to strengthen mission outcomes.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
. - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in analytics, AI/ML, or advanced data science.
- Expert knowledge of data visualizations, large language models (LLMs), and ML techniques.
- Cybersecurity and mission operations background.
- Leadership or technical project management experience.
- Agile methodology knowledge (Scrum, Jira, Confluence).
