Cleared Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

As an experienced Software Test
Engineer with our team, you will be working with our federal clients in support of the rapidly developed innovative solutions addressing immediate mission challenges. The ideal candidate will design, execute, and automate tests for enterprise applications within an Agile environment, ensuring high-quality software that meets security and compliance requirements.

• Create software tests and automate test cases for enterprise applications
• Translate user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and requirements into executable test scenarios
• Perform application testing, validate bugs, and isolate issues
• Write and initiate tests and analyze and report test results in the ticketing system
• Perform configuration management, change management, and release management
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies
• Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures
• Produce clear test documentation (test plans, test results, scripts, traceability matrices)
• Document defects and test outcomes in a way that any developer or tester can follow
• Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports
• Identify and document problems and issues, providing guidance on root-cause and remediation
• Support the presentation and formal review of test results
• Ensure applications meet security and compliance requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
• Bachelor or Masters with 5 years of experience OR associate with 8 years of experience OR high-school with 11 years of experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• 3-5 years of software testing experience (both manual and automated)
• Knowledge of the SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and Dev Sec Ops  processes
• Experience with Agile methodologies and participation in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
• Experience conducting functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks
• Experience writing automated regression tests using scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Java Script
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops pipelines, or AWS Code Pipeline
• Experience validating builds during deployment and testing across various environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod)

• Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB, etc.)
• Experience with performance, security, or API testing
• Knowledge of test management tools
• Cloud testing experience
• Containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes)
