Strategy & Business Engagement Lead – AI Transformation

Chantilly, VA

We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and highly experienced Strategy & Business Engagement Lead to guide stakeholder alignment, strategic planning, and business integration efforts for AI initiatives at a leading independent federal agency focused on financial system stability. This role will serve as a bridge between technical teams and business units, ensuring that AI solutions—including Agentic AI, Generative AI (GenAI), and traditional AI—are aligned with organizational priorities, regulatory mandates, and user needs.

The Lead will play a key role in shaping the agency’s AI strategy, driving adoption, and maximizing the value of AI investments across the enterprise.

• Strategic Planning & Alignment
  • Lead the development and refinement of the agency’s AI strategy in collaboration with executive leadership and technical teams.
  • Translate business goals and regulatory requirements into actionable AI initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across departments and mission areas.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units, policy teams, and AI solution teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, briefings, and working groups to gather input, build consensus, and drive engagement.
  • Develop and deliver strategic communications that articulate the value, impact, and progress of AI initiatives.
• Business Integration & Value Realization
  • Ensure AI solutions are designed and deployed in ways that support operational workflows, policy analysis, and public engagement.
  • Collaborate with change management and training teams to support workforce readiness and adoption.
  • Monitor and report on business outcomes, KPIs, and ROI of AI implementations.
• Governance & Risk Management
  • Support the development of governance frameworks for responsible AI use, including ethical guidelines, risk assessments, and compliance tracking.
  • Ensure business stakeholders are informed and involved in decisions related to AI governance and oversight.
• Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with AI architects, AI/ML engineers, cloud specialists, and QA testers to ensure solutions meet business needs and strategic goals.
  • Represent the agency in inter-agency forums, industry engagements, and strategic partnerships related to AI.

• Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with federal governance frameworks and compliance standards.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in strategy, business engagement, or program leadership roles.
• Proven experience supporting technology transformation initiatives, preferably involving AI/ML.
• Strong understanding of GenAI, Agentic AI, and traditional AI concepts and their business applications.
• Experience with change management, training, and workforce development strategies.
• Experience with strategic planning tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
