Senior Discovery IT System Administrator (Top Secret Clearance Required)

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior Discovery IT System Administrator to join a fast‑paced and hard‑working team to assist with various legal accounts. The role is Full‑time, Executive‑level with a base salary range of $ to $ per year. The position is located in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the day‑day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools.
  • Administer and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure; install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify solutions, and work with vendors and developers to implement fixes.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Assist in technical architecture design discussions.
  • Liaise with vendors on behalf of OGC to address product issues.
  • Develop and provide training for end‑users.
  • Provide general support, subject‑matter expertise and advice on the use of electronic discovery tools and applications.
  • Reverse engineer and document the as‑is architecture of existing legacy applications or systems.
  • Analyze capabilities, interview and collect business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Support discovery application integration/migration activities.
  • Contribute to the Knowledge Management databases by creating and improving technical knowledge articles to assist in future resolution of issues.
  • Apply legal technology experience and knowledge of the EDRM.
  • Assist in the implementation of e‑discovery tools (e.g., Relativity, Veritas eDP, or other review platform applications hosted in the cloud).
  • Support backend infrastructure, data migrations, application installation, management and configuration.
  • Operate, install, and manage Microsoft Server 2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022.
  • Operate and manage cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, VMware, Azure Functions, Azure API Gateways, AWS EC2, AWS Lambda, and AWS API Gateways.
  • Operate and manage relational databases such as MySQL and/or SQL Server 2012 or higher.
Qualifications
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise IT administration, particularly involving discovery tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft server and SQL Server platforms.
  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and related services.
  • Proficiency with relational database management and migrations.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to anticipate technical needs.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to train and support end‑users.
  • Legal technology experience and understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
