Department: IT / Engineering

Reports To: RSekure Program Manager

Location: Chantilly, VA

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

Clearance Req: TS/SCI – Full-Scope Polygraph

Summary

RSekure is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to manage and maintain Linux and Windows environments in a mixed-OS infrastructure supporting a high-performance, commercial web-based platform. The role requires hands-on expertise with AWS, Linux (Red Hat/Rocky), Windows Service environments, and Postgre

SQL, plus strong scripting and automation skills. This position partners with developers, end users, and management to ensure systems are secure, stable, and scalable, while elevating automation, security, and uptime across production times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Red Hat/Rocky Linux systems, including updates, patching, system hardening, and configuration.
  • Ensure secure and stable integrations, deployments, and system testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline systems operations.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for Linux-based systems and applications.
  • Manage AWS cloud infrastructure for a commercial web-based application.
  • Implement and maintain secure, scalable cloud resources (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, etc.).
  • Create and maintain streamlined CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for automated deployments.
  • Support and coordinate with development and QA teams for infrastructure needs.
  • Administer standalone Windows domains and workstations (Windows 11 Pro, Windows Server 2025).
  • Manage domain services including DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Group Policy, and software such as Adobe Photoshop.
  • Maintain and support artist workstations and creative production environments.
  • Monitor and support a high-volume Postgre

    SQL transactional database environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, backup, and performance tuning in coordination with DBAs.
  • Support Docker Desktop for local Linux container use on Windows systems.
  • Coordinate with users, management, and contractors for system changes, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance or deployments.
  • Enter the actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Monitor RSekure email on a regular basis, at least 2 times per week, and respond accordingly.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
  • Strong experience with Windows Server environments and workstation support.
  • Experience maintaining large-scale Postgre

    SQL databases.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Power Shell) and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation).
  • Understanding Dev Ops methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficient with Chainalysis and TRM.
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat/Rocky) preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
Desired Certifications and Licenses
  • RHCSA/RHCE (Red Hat Certified System Administrator/Engineer).
  • AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator or Solutions Architect.
  • CompTIA Linux+, Security+, or equivalent.
Special Requirements
  • TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope polygraph.
Work Environment

Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
