Responsibilities
Lead Windows Systems Administrator role with senior leadership responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 5+ system administrators, prioritizing day‑to‑day operations and task scheduling.
- Design, operate, and maintain Windows infrastructure, including servers, virtual desktops, and enterprise applications.
- Configure and manage domains, Active Directory, Group Policies, and access controls.
- Drive automation through scripting for consistent provisioning, configuration management, and compliance.
- Oversee patch management, testing, and deployment to maintain a secure, stable environment.
- Analyze incident issues, identify root causes, implement fixes, and document closures.
- Track and manage incident queues, ensuring timely responses and identifying recurring trends requiring deeper engineering solutions.
- Integrate and support COTS and GOTS applications on the Windows platform to meet evolving user needs.
- Collaborate with network engineers, security teams, and application owners to deliver robust environments.
Leadership
Experience:
Proven ability to lead a team of 5+ administrators for 10+ years.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Windows workstation and server administration.
Expertise with Citrix, AD, GPO: Hands‑on experience with Citrix Store Front, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
Server Roles: Skilled in file, web, application, and domain controller roles.
Virtualization: Virtualized environments (VMWare, Nutanix, etc.).
Networking: Strong understanding of fundamentals and collaboration with network teams.
Enterprise Applications: Deploying, monitoring, patching, and supporting enterprise applications.
Data Storage: Experience with storage solutions.
Security & Compliance: History of working closely with security teams to accredit systems for operational readiness.
Additional Skills (Preferred): Linux OS knowledge, Tanium experience.
Education & Experience- M.S. degree with 9+ years of experience, OR B.S. degree with 12+ years of experience, OR Relevant certification with 9+ years of experience, OR No degree with 15+ years of experience.
Likely salary range: $200,367 - $271,085. Compensation will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements.
