Position: Mid-Level Cloud Systems Engineer with Security Clearance
Kavaliro is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Systems Engineer to support a client in Virginia. Overview:
Kavaliro is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Systems Engineer with hands-on experience across the Systems Engineering & Integration lifecycle-including architecture, requirements, CONOPS, integration, testing, and transition. This role supports enterprise transformation initiatives across GEOINT mission systems and projects, helping to modernize GEOINT architecture and advance mission capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of IT/cloud technologies, along with familiarity with the GEOINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) Architecture.

Responsibilities:
* As part of the Enterprise Engineering & Architecture Division's Lead Integrator Team, you will:
* Conduct architecture gap analyses, enterprise requirements analysis, and trade studies to inform system investment decisions.
* Support integration activities across NGA Program Executive Offices (PEOs) to synchronize activities and maintain the enterprise baseline (requirements, interfaces, architectures).
* Develop architecture artifacts, project plans, CONOPS, requirements, and roadmaps within NGA's Digital Engineering Environment.
* Collaborate on modernization efforts across Analytic, Collection Management, Data Services, Foundation GEOINT, and IT systems. Assist in maturing NGA's IT and multi-cloud architecture, defining enterprise requirements, and identifying associated risks, issues, and opportunities.
* Capture and translate mission and customer needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
* Participate in governance, configuration management, and risk management processes.
* Advance adoption of agile practices and digital engineering across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM field; or equivalent mid-level experience as a Cloud Architect.
* Demonstrated mid-level experience with systems engineering processes (architecture, requirements, integration, testing, transition).
* Mid-level working experience in cloud-based systems architecture. Desired

Qualifications:

* Familiarity with the GEOINT TCPED Architecture (data providers, systems/services, interfaces, data flows).
* Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
* Cloud-related certifications.
* Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification(s).
* Understanding of multi-cloud environments.
* Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
* Knowledge of Dev Sec Ops  principles and practices.
