Information Technology Technician – Telework Position with up to 50% travel CONUS/OCONUS

Responsibilities

Kingfisher is seeking an Information Technology Technician (IT Tech) to support the installation of cable, SATCOM and telecommunications systems within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) for our confidential Customer. This position is based in Fort Meade, Maryland but has an option to be performed from any location. The IT Tech will install and assist in implementing and integrating information systems and work under the direction of the Senior Network Engineer.

Specific position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Ability to work and stay motivated working independently and within a team.
• Build and install communications equipment racks within a fixed facility (building).
• Estimate, build, install and groom cable/fiber within fixed facilities including overhead and underfloor installation.
• Perform power distribution analysis for communications racks.
• Assist Network and SATCOM Engineers in integration of fixed facility communications.
• Troubleshoot, fix, and upgrade Customer systems.
• Analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations for improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Experience with cable/fiber installation and repair.
• Experience with Microsoft products including SharePoint, Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with SATCOM systems.

Preferred Certifications

CompTIA Security+ (Sec+)

Years of Experience

Minimum of 2 years' experience in installation of telecommunication systems.

Degree Requirement

USA/USAF/USN Technical School Diploma.

Minimum Clearance Requirement

Minimum active DoD Secret clearance.

U.S. Citizenship

Required.

Valid Passport Required

Required.
