Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations. AT&T has an opening for Design Engineer
- Core (WAN) to support our government customers’ global enterprise networks. Network Architecture provides solutions for modernizing the network components while supporting service delivery for customer requirements in a mission-focused operational enterprise.

Additionally, the candidate must have experience with hands-on router engineering and/or operation.

The job duties of the Design Engineer
- Core (WAN) are as follows:

• Responsibility for the Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Wide Area Network (WAN) overall architecture.
• Developing MPLS WAN services solution.
• Performing lab equipment evaluation, integration, and testing.
• Assisting with the security accreditation process.
• Developing and maintaining relevant technical documentation.
• On as-needed basis, the engineer will also be responsible for supporting Tier-4 production troubleshooting and developing pro-active network analysis solution for the operations team.

This is a full-time onsite role based in the location(s) posted and is performed from the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered. Work to be performed at a government customer site in Chantilly, VA.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master's and 10 years, bachelor's and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years. Required qualifications include the following:
Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.

Our Design Engineer
- Core (WAN) (ND3) (Government) earns $98,100 - $201,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
