Peraton is seeking a
Infrastructure Systems Administrator
in our Chantilly, VA office in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) community customer as part ofa highly talented, highlymotivatedand high-performing team. As part of the Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS)
Tier 3team you will support an exciting program which involves design, development, test, and deployment of abroadand complex system in an Agile construct to contribute to mission success for a variety of stakeholders. Whatyou'lldo:

• Support our cloud-based classified environment, ensuring the uptime of our multi-tenant, multi-level infrastructure
• Perform daily system monitoring and monthlypatchingas part of the Operations and Maintenance(O&M) team
• Manage operating system configurations, system documentation, performance tuning, software installation sand updates, system hardening, and storage allocation
• Helpmonitorand maintain mission-critical,highly available, high-performance networked systems in a team-oriented environment
• Work closely withotherengineering teams to improve our platforms andeliminatecomplexity from architecture and processes
• Monitor and address tenant discrepancy reports pushed to Tier 3
• Monitor and manage system resources tomaintainefficiency
• Provide Tier 3developmentsupport for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution

Required qualifications:

• This position requires the candidatetopossessa minimum of Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. The candidate mustmaintainthe clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a field of study applicable to the position with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a previous System Administration role:
  • Ability to express yourself confidently, concisely, and accurately through written and oral communications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with management, the customer,and tenants across DoD
  • Detail/ process oriented, can multi-task, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Meet DoD 8140 foundational qualifications for the work role of System Administrator at an Intermediate or Advanced proficiency level
• Experience in system installation, patching and testing, and system configuration of networked services, file systems,basicscriptingand authentication experience
• Operating System administration skills for Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  8.xand laterto include building systems up from bare metal, performing software package installation,operating systemand application troubleshooting, and implementing security hardening
