Position: Mandarin Cyber Linguist (TS/SCI with Poly Required) with Security Clearance

As a Mandarin Linguist, a typical day will include the following duties: GCI is seeking an expert-level Mandarin linguist to support our operations in a key area of interest. As a critical member of our team, you will leverage your exceptional language skills and cultural expertise to translate complex documents, facilitate communication during high-stakes meetings, and provide nuanced analysis to inform strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

* Translate operational documents with high accuracy
* Provide in-person, real time translations to facilitate communication
* Ensure language barriers do not hinder effective communication
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, management and outside stakeholders
* Provide cultural insights and context to teams to help navigate cultural and linguistic nuances Requirements:
* Demonstrated fluency in Mandarin language skills including speaking, reading and writing
* Testing 3+ in proficiency
* Professional translation experience and the ability to live-translate with native fluency
* Experience translating documents with technical themes
* Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to deliver highly accurate translations and interpretations
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience working on the China topic
* Experience with technical topics Work Environment:
* Chantilly, VA
* Short term travel may be required as needed. Education Requirement:
* BA/BS (or equivalent experience) Experience Requirement:
