Action Officer – TS/SCI Clearance w/CI Poly Location

Job Description

Leffler Consulting is seeking an experienced Action Officer to join our team in Chantilly. The position focuses on overseeing the management and execution of all internal/external tasks, the maintenance of action tracking systems, and the management of communications and products to be shared with internal agencies and external Intelligence Community (IC)/DoD partners. Additionally, the position includes oversight and management of developing, disseminating, and communicating policies and procedures within the Program Office, Directorate, and IC.

An active TS/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated polygraph is required for this role.

Duties
  • Analyze, evaluate, assign, monitor progress, and follow to closure office responses to taskings from Congress, IC/DoD partners and internal Office actions.
  • Coordinate, review, and evaluate responses ensuring quality, timeliness, and proper approvals are achieved
  • Interact with management (at multiple organizational levels) and the technical workforce to draft, consolidate, coordinate, and edit executive-level briefings, point papers, and other materials on complex issues affecting the Program Office and the Enterprise.
  • Maintain the action tracking systems and relevant databases (TIER)
  • Review, analyze, prioritize, ensure quality control, and approval through appropriate channels for all communications and materials leaving the Program Office to external parties within and outside of the Agency.
  • Review, interpret, develop, streamline, and communicate policies and procedures that are applicable to the Program Office, Agency, and IC/DoD community
  • Manage records created and participate in Agency, Directorate, and Program Office Records Management processes
  • Lead, execute, develop, and streamline Director’s Action Group (DAG) functions
  • Coordinate and collaborate with DAGs across the directorate on oversight and customer issues, ensuring responses correspond with the directorate’s corporate interest and policies
  • Build weekly action reports and acquisition highlights
  • Prepare and maintain briefings for orientations classes; familiarize new hires with the role of the DAG
  • Observe, identify, and communicate ways to increase efficiency across the Program Office.
  • Identify and report internal and external issues that may impact the Agency, the Directorate, and the Program Office
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support corporate initiatives

Skill Set:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and ensure their completion
  • Possess understanding of DAG, directorate, organizational, and external agency policies and procedures
  • Possess knowledge of project management concepts and principles
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team member, sharing information and knowledge, and provide back up support to other multi‑functional team members as necessary
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees
  • Ability to communicate requirements to employees responsible for producing responses
Required Education
  • High school diploma
Required Experience
  • 5-10 years of administrative or comparable experience, primarily in an office environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word (advanced formatting and editing), PowerPoint (advanced formatting and editing), and Excel
  • IC and/or DoD experience preferred
