Position Summary: A Project Manager III works mostly autonomously to manage all projects in collaboration with construction and engineering team members to develop and maintain engineering and construction schedules. They have project financial responsibility, including budget, profit, and cost projections. Responsible for building and updating P6 schedules and various milestones and be sure project deliverables are completed or added to the scope of work.

Provides updates to Manager of Construction on the progress of project progression via a monthly forecasting meeting performed 1 on 1 with the Manager of Construction. Must work towards software proficiency of P6, Procore and any other required application. Places an emphasis on building and maintaining best in class relationships with clients, internally and externally. Construction Manager III must build effective and professional relationships with all project stakeholders including subcontractors, vendors and equipment suppliers.

Is involved with mentoring less experienced CM’s on best practices. Will be required from time to time to participate in presenting proposals to clients and be a part of leading the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
  • Develops resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects.
  • Develops schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources.
  • Manages and executes all change orders in a timely fashion and adjusting schedule to reflect impacts if any and providing required timely notice of impacts to client and all other stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assesses the impact of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates.
