Responsibilities
  • Minor HVAC repair and maintenance
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs electrical maintenance and repairs to equipment
  • Performs basic repair in custodial, roads, and grounds
  • Operates and maintains a variety of maintenance‑associated power tools
  • Collects and disposes of all litter, trash and debris on grounds and parking lots
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to associated equipment
  • Coordinates the setup of new equipment and determines preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, facility maintenance, and repairs for facilities
  • Analyzes equipment repair expenses over time to help guide “repair or replace” decisions for individual pieces of equipment for all facilities
  • Manages parts inventory, including tracking and accountability for all company owned and consignment parts
  • Communicates thoroughly and frequently with leadership and teams as to status of repairs, maintenance‑related issues, equipment utilization
  • Inspects and performs routine maintenance and repair of all plumbing systems
  • Maintenance of security cameras and sound system
  • Installing shelves/racks and hanging pictures
  • May at times, monitor and prioritize calls taken from various departments to coordinate facility maintenance to respond and resolve facility issues
  • Works with department leaders to delegate the activities of Facility Maintenance in order to optimize response times and resolve issues, set schedules
  • Researches and requisitions replacement parts
  • Records and logs maintenance repairs and inspections
  • Paints, digs, sweeps, shovels, and pressure washes, as needed
  • General facility cleaning
  • Landscaping (mowing, trimming, sprinkler system)
  • Assist in installation of new, and relocation of, existing equipment – involves dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations
  • Responds to daily facilities work orders and works on special projects
  • Installs and makes repairs to interior walls, tile, carpet, and coverings made of various materials
  • May be required to perform other maintenance duties and functions or assist in other departments as needed depending on the needs of the business
Minimum Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three years’ experience with various skilled trades used in building and grounds repair and maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Must have experience and advanced knowledge in installing lights, tile, carpet, metal and wood framing, drywall, painting, doors, toilets, urinals, concrete, grounds maintenance
  • Prepared to get additional certification as needed
  • Willingness to learn with hands‑on training
Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction industry experience
  • Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment, hand, power, and pneumatic tools
  • Must read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
  • Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment
  • Good hand‑eye coordination
