Overview
At Accenture Federal Services, we help the US federal government strengthen and safeguard the nation. This role is for a Full Stack Developer who participates in development efforts to deliver a complete software solution across the cloud-based software development lifecycle (front end, back end, database, cloud deployment and orchestration, etc.).
The candidate will design and implement all levels of the solution (data layer, application code, user interface), deliver APIs and integrations with other software systems and databases, and architect for optimal use of enterprise infrastructure (cloud) and security requirements. Responsibilities include translating requirements into technical specifications and tasks, and delivering software applications with programming across the data layer through the user interface.
Responsibilities- Work with the Chief Engineer and Technical Leads to translate requirements into user stories and incorporate new functionality into software applications
- Develop custom data processing functions and applications using data libraries in languages such as Python
- Interface with front-end frameworks to display and interact with data in various formats
- Containerize Java and Python microservices and deploy to an AWS cloud environment
- Develop and/or integrate with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Dev Ops tools to support cloud orchestration of software components
- Leverage AWS best practices to optimize code for cloud deployment with cost-conscious development and deployment strategies
- Develop web APIs to interface with cloud applications and databases as part of cloud-native software
- Work as part of an agile team to deliver software iteratively
- Utilize open-source Python libraries and packages to accelerate the software development lifecycle
- Build automated testing frameworks and integrate security scanning into the CI/CD pipeline
- 4+ years of experience with software development
- Experience with design and development of software solutions at one or more layers of the technical stack (data, application, UI)
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Type Script, and/or SQL
- Experience with cloud application and data deployment in AWS (EMR, EKS, ECR, RDS, etc.)
- Experience with Dev Ops tools and services (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Packer, etc.)
- Experience with integration with applications and data across platforms (APIs)
- Experience with developing software within Agile methodologies
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in certain states and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation varies based on location, role, skill set, and experience. A wide variety of benefits is offered.
