Job Description Are you a seasoned Systems Engineer with a deep expertise in high-performance back-end architectures, graph databases, and cloud-native container orchestration? Janus Soft is seeking an elite Systems Engineer to design, scale, and secure mission-critical enterprise systems supporting high-consequence intelligence environments.

In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of scalable, secure, and highly available back-end services utilizing Python and Neo4J. You will architect graph database structures, write optimized Cypher/Python code, manage Kubernetes clusters within AWS, and implement automated CI/CD pipelines to drive continuous deployment. Working within strict security protocols, you will establish robust monitoring frameworks, execute comprehensive testing strategies, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (Strict Requirement).

Back-End Engineering:
Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available back-end systems using Python .

Graph Databases:
Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining Neo4J databases, with strong knowledge of graph algorithms, graph data structures, and data integrity/performance tuning.

Kubernetes & AWS Orchestration:
Hands-on experience managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters hosted on AWS, optimizing deployments for high availability, security, cost, and reliability.

CI/CD & Dev Ops:
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as Jenkins or Git Lab CI/CD .

Monitoring & Observability:
Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and logging stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack .

Polyglot Programming:
Experience with object-oriented and compiled languages such as Java or C++ .

Testing & Code Reviews:
Proven track record executing comprehensive unit/system testing strategies, participating in peer code reviews, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Technical Leadership:
Ability to provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers.

High-Security Protocols:
Proven experience working in high-security, cleared environments adhering to strict security compliance requirements.

AWS Certification: AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Professional.
