Production/Warehouse Manager
Job OverviewA full-time warehouse associate is responsible for assisting the production team to safely and properly receive, check, build/produce, stage and load all materials and products so that they are ready for installation on time without issues. They also assist with stock/inventory management, organization of all product inventory, cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and workspace in the shop/warehouse. To be successful in this position, this individual must be detail-oriented, process and task oriented and able to use systems.
Proactive communication with team members regarding status updates and issues is also required. A warehouse associate may have a specific set of responsibilities or specialization amongst the list of activities but must be trained and capable to complete any warehouse tasks due to peaks and valleys in workload, staffing etc.
- Work for the warehouse team under the direction of the Warehouse Lead and Production Manager to make sure jobs are prepped in priority order and in a timely manner.
- Carefully read, review, and clarify cut lists in a detailed and thoughtful manner.
- Receive material/products, checking it against the Bill of Lading & inspecting parts and quality.
- Receive returns of material/products, and organize/re‑stock returns.
- Unload, inspect, prep and/or build panel and shelving components, cabinets & accessories/hardware for jobs.
- Care for the warehouse, tools, and equipment to keep everything clean and orderly on a daily basis (garbage/refuse take to the dumpster daily, warehouse left orderly and swept/clean on a daily basis).
- Work with the team to stage and load all product and materials for jobs.
- Follow communication protocols such as asking clarifying questions regarding job details, and communicating issues to supervisor and other related departments (procurement, scheduling, design).
- Work safely and mitigate safety risks.
- Consistently show up to work on time.
- This position is a perfect fit for someone whose major strength is to be process and task-oriented, as well as someone with high energy always on the move.
- Regularly lift large boards and/or heavy material ~50-80+ lbs, keep high level of energy and work mainly while standing.
- Maintain a very orderly, clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively via text, phone, email with multiple team members.
- Complete work tasks in a quality, time efficient manner on a weekly and daily basis.
- Learn and keep up with all product parts (how each works, what they are, how to determine if they are damaged).
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong physical skill in safely and efficiently moving pallets of material (Energetic/Highly physical job).
- Prior warehouse receiving, checking quality, picking/pulling experience is a plus.
- Construction experience of cabinets and component parts is a plus.
- Product knowledge and ability to learn quickly how products are installed and work within construction of units is a plus.
