Automotive Parts Manager

Jay Hatfield Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a dedicated Automotive Parts Manager to join our team in Chanute, KS. In this role, you will oversee the parts department, ensuring accurate inventory management and exceptional customer service. You will work closely with service technicians, sales staff, and vendors to maintain efficient parts operations that support the overall success of the dealership.

• Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control and ordering.
• Lead and develop parts department staff to provide excellent customer service and meet sales goals.
• Collaborate with service and sales teams to ensure timely parts availability and support dealership functions.
• Maintain accurate records of parts transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Develop relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing to maximize profitability.
• Monitor parts inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess stock and shortages.
• Prepare reports related to parts sales, inventory status, and department performance.

• Proven experience in automotive parts management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management systems.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with computerized inventory and ordering systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in automotive parts or management is a plus.

• Competitive salary range of $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year, paid weekly.
