The Project Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating projects, upgrades and other activities. Plan, direct and monitor progress of all aspects of engineering projects from feasibility and concept development through project commissioning, close‑out and handover. Manage project portfolios by analyzing information, developing and tracking project plans, providing expertise to resolve project difficulties and directing resources.

Reporting to:
Engineering Manager, Fragrance & Beauty

Main Responsibilities
  • Chair project meetings with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Plan, execute and monitor projects to ensure requirements, budget and schedule are met
  • Monitor day‑to‑day aspects of projects including quality of work product, client communications, budget, schedule, and coordinate technical staff (internal and external) and run regular reporting to higher management and stakeholders about project progress
  • Work with production, safety and laboratory managers as well as external specialists and authorities to create specifications (User Requirement Specification and/or Technical Specification), design and detailed plans respecting all norms and regulations as well as EHS standards
  • Maintain quality control of deliverables, demonstrating technical excellence, objectivity and clarity, adherence to project schedules, applicable quality management standards, and safety and security regulations
  • Support Procurement to negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors
  • Carry out Technical Bid Analysis and submit proposal for stakeholders approval
  • Monitor and control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions
  • Control project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts
  • Plan resource and contingency planning as well as recovery planning
  • Control contractors on site and work with Engineering team for permit issue/closure
  • Maintain proper project documentation and handover of completed project to internal customers
Documentation Management
  • Support the custodian of site drawings and specifications to keep them updated
  • Maintain project documentation and catalogue for the whole process from initial concept study to final project handover
Main Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation engineering
  • Some exposure to mechanical and architectural aspects in project management
  • Familiarity with basic usage of SAP (Project module), Microsoft Project and AutoCAD
  • Basic knowledge of GMP requirements is an advantage
  • Maintain and support all site activities according to accreditation standards in the scope of the QMS (ISO 9001 & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP))
