Job OverviewA long-standing, stable industrial manufacturer with over a century of success is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and continuously improve plant maintenance operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving reliability, safety, and operational excellence across a large, high-output manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, providing clear direction, coaching, and long-term vision
- Develop and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize uptime and efficiency
- Plan and execute major maintenance activities, shutdowns, and improvement projects while minimizing downtime
- Manage maintenance budgets, resources, and external contractors to ensure cost-effective results
- Champion reliability initiatives, continuous improvement, and best maintenance practices
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable labor agreements
- Support plant operations through strong collaboration, technical expertise, and problem-solving leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proven experience leading maintenance teams and managing projects
- Strong knowledge of large rotating equipment and maintenance best practices
- Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
