** JOB DESCRIPTION
**** Purpose
* * The Shuttle / Van Driver III is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Van to deliver produce. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, a focus on efficiency, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
** Responsibilities
* ** Operate a Van safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and established routes.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order.
* Product Transport:
* Transport goods safely and efficiently between Sysco facilities and customers.
* Ensure the safe and timely transfer of product between locations.
* Safety & Compliance:
* Comply with all applicable safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and other required documentation.
* Customer Service:
** Skills
* ** Safety Awareness:
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
* Communication:
Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
** Certifications
* ** Class 5 License
** Education
* * High school diploma or GED
** Experience
* * 3+ years of experience
** Physical Demands
*** Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) occasionally.
* Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, and reach frequently.
* Ability to work in various weather conditions.
