The Role

Blackman & Sloop is expanding into the auto dealership space and seeking an Audit Manager to join the team. This role emphasizes supporting dealership clients while providing opportunities to work across other areas (non-profit, construction, small business, manufacturing, medical, real estate, retail, hospitality, education, and more).

As an Audit Manager, you will manage clients in a variety of industries, collaborate with staff, engage in direct client interaction, and pursue opportunities for professional growth. The successful candidate will have prior experience performing audits, strong interpersonal skills, and be team-oriented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help plan and execute assurance engagements
  • Guide staff on client engagements
  • Organize and monitor client projects and tasks
  • Own and manage client relationships
  • Act as the communication channel between staff, clients, and management
Required Qualifications
  • CPA
  • 6+ years of audit experience within public accounting
  • Foundational knowledge of US GAAP
  • Familiarity with auto dealership audits
  • Ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Willing to visit client sites
  • Excellent work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction and/or Employee Benefit Plan Audit experience
