Position Overview
The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist interested in a career in academic medicine. This is a full‑time, tenure track or variable track faculty position. The appointment rank and track will be commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience and qualifications.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include comprehensive care of patients (outpatient, inpatient and surgery), education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and participation in the division’s research mission. Patients include women with gynecologic cancers, cervical and vulvar dysplasia, and those with increased risk of developing gynecologic malignancies and benign complex gynecologic pathologies.
Division DetailsThe UNC Division of Gynecologic Oncology currently consists of 9 physicians, 3 advanced practice providers, 6 nurse navigators and 6 fellows in training. Division members provide patient care at Rex Hospital (Raleigh, NC), Cone Hospital (Greensboro, NC) and UNC Hospitals (Chapel Hill, NC). The clinical assignment of this faculty will be at UNC Hospital with a second assignment at either REX Hospital or Cone Health Hospital, but not all three.
This position will share night and weekend call with other providers.
