Overview
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time physiatrist trained in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine to join our academic department. Rank based on experience and qualifications. This position will provide both inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services across our outpatient clinics and UNC Children's Hospital.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services across outpatient clinics and UNC Children's Hospital.
- Care for children and adolescents with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, brain injury and other congenital and acquired pediatric conditions as part of a multidisciplinary team in a rehabilitation center with on-site therapy and prosthetic/orthotic services.
- See inpatient consultations at the NC Children's Hospital.
- Help build and direct new multidisciplinary clinics.
- Assist with ITB pump management and pediatric EMG/NCV testing.
- Participate in teaching, research, program development, quality, and administrative activities with an academic appointment; contribute to existing programs and lead/develop new clinical, research, and educational programs within the institution.
- Physiatrist trained in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.
