The Division of Cardiology at UNC Chapel Hill seeks an Open Rank Faculty appointment as a General Cardiologist. The position is full‑time clinical and includes outpatient cardiology care (including developing a referral practice), inpatient duty or consult service, and teaching of cardiovascular fellows, residents, and medical students. The role may also involve seeing patients at an outreach clinic and/or interpreting advanced cardiac imaging studies.

The rank and track (fixed term vs. tenure track vs. variable track) depends on applicant qualifications and experience.

• Provide outpatient cardiology care and develop a referral practice.
• Attend inpatient units or consult service.
• Teach cardiovascular fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Participate in outreach clinics and interpret advanced cardiac imaging studies.

MD Degree

A successful candidate will be Board Certified in Internal@Required Medicine (ABIM) and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease. The applicant must possess well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to practice independently. Interest and expertise in preventive cardiology, realities genetics, cardio‑obstetrics, cardiac MRI or cardio‑oncology, and a track record in cardiovascular research are preferred.
