Position: Programming Coordinator for UNC and Wood Family Scholars Programs

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a dynamic, student-focused individual to assist our scholarships team in supporting the UNC Scholars Program within the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid.

The UNC Scholars Program encompasses nine distinctive, high-impact scholarships and a scholar community of approximately 600 students. The program offers a comprehensive student experience that includes programming, dedicated faculty mentorship, academic and personal development resources, summer enrichment funding, and a strong community that fosters connection and belonging. The Scholars program also provides information to prospective Scholars and their families as they navigate the college decision process.

This is a highly student-facing role that involves direct interaction with students, faculty, and families, representing the UNC and Wood Family Scholars Programs at campus events, donor dinners, and building connections across the broader UNC community.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Advise, coach, and counsel scholars, and work to foster a sense of identity and community with their scholarship, within the UNC Scholars Program, and within the larger campus community.

* Provide updates and design ideas for Wood Family Scholars website

* Plan and execute a variety of scholar programs, including but not limited to educational and leadership programming, workshops, social events, book discussions and monthly scholar lunches.

* Assist with the planning and execution of scholar recruitment events in partnership with admissions, representing the Scholars Programs at these events.

* Plan and execute scholar activities, events, and other opportunities specific to the Wood Family Scholars according to frameworks and objectives agreed upon with the donor. These may include book discussions, leadership training, career development workshops, community service projects, financial literacy programs, information sessions on internship and other special opportunities, such as the annual senior trip and networking activities with alumni

* Execute annual reports on the Wood Scholars and programming activities for the donor

* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Assistant Director, Associate Director, or Director, to support the overall success and strategic goals of the programs.
